Summer Relaxation & Wellness get together

"A healthy outside starts from the inside." -Robert Urich

I wanted to focus on what I can do to relax and quiet mode everything around me to connect with what my body truly needed. I knew I lacked so much.

I thought about hosting a Relaxation, peace, and wellness get-together with my girlfriends and me in my backyard with some light snacks, immunity booster shots, and infused fresh fruit flavoured water while it's still summer and the sun is still beaming! Having a moment to yourself is, of course, the best, but why not have it together as a group and talk about life - goals, plans, ideas or whatever that's on our minds. Just genuinely embracing the moment with positive energy and lifting my spirit is what I drive for.

We brought and talked about what soothes and calms us. Here's the Himalayan salt lamp, diffuser and essential oils, lavender mist spray, calm rolling balm, ginger mint and lavender room spray, some current inspirational and motivating reads and of course notebooks to jot down creative ideas. My friend brought her mini carry-on bible, a rock and a silver coin engraved a verse from the bible.

It's not wellness if there ain't no detox! I've been looking into cleansing and detoxifying my body with the most I can get and this awesome blend of veggies just did it and are some of my favourites too. I usually blend my kale, spinach, romaine lettuce, apples, and oranges with water or pure coconut water but this time I wanted to try something different that'll have more of that citrus and spice or kick. This simple recipe has carrots, lemon, ginger and turmeric powder with water. Benefits- Hydrates, refreshes and cleanses the body, stomach soother and immune booster! This recipe came from nestandglow.com

I live for infused water. I always have to have a fresh one in my fridge with a clear jug to see how my fruits are looking and it makes it look pretty! I have fresh mint leaves with lemon, Hmong cucumber from my Mom's garden and fresh berries in water. I let it sit in the fridge for about 30 minutes and then it is ready to serve!

The perfect lightest snack I always enjoy the most is tomatoes with bocconcini cheese, basil, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and black pepper.

Avocado on whole-wheat toast with cilantro, red chilli flakes, parmesan cheese, lemon juice, salt and black pepper

Sometimes it's hard to find some downtime to do quiet things. Especially if you are a mom like me or not a mom but have other things on your schedule, things get in the way in our lives but I found that doing something with healing and wellness especially with friends, connects you on a different level!

What's your favourite kind of downtime?

How do you like to spend time with your friends?

What's in your healing box?

Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read my blogs! I hope you picked up something that caught your attention and leave inspired :)

XOXO

Love & Light,
